The Pescampese were champions of the last three seasons and their last two were runners-up.
The club’s owner, Maurizio De Filippo, is a former Pescarani star, while owner Paolo Cappello and head coach Andrea Pirlo were also on the Pesezione trophy winning teams in 2008.
This year’s champions, the Scudetto winners, finished fourth, with three points.
The Scudetti is the most prestigious in Italian football and is a €3m prize for the champions.
In 2018, they were runners up but failed to make it to the last 16.
In 2017, they qualified for the Europa League with a 2-0 win over Sevilla, but lost in the quarter-finals to Juventus.
Pescarano were also runners up in the previous season’s Europa League and the 2018-19 Champions League, but were eliminated by Juventus in the Europa Cup.
La Scudetta are a perennial Serie A title contenders and are in the same group as Juventus, Napoli, Udinese and Inter.
It is the third year in a row that the club is not in the Champions League group stages.
