Peter Schiffs wife, Pete Davidson, has been visiting his Australian-born brother in hospital with serious injuries.
Mr Davidson’s son was attacked by a fox in Canberra on Saturday.
The incident happened at a cafe in the city’s central business district.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
The young man was rushed to hospital where he died.
Mr Schiff’s brother Peter Davidson was treated at the scene and is in a stable condition.
The elder Davidson is also in hospital in serious condition.
“He’s doing well and we’ve been really proud of him and his family and we’re just hoping that they can get through this,” Mr Davidsson’s brother, David, told the ABC’s Sunrise program.
The elder Mr Davidusons wife, Laura, and their son Peter, 16, have also been visiting him in hospital. “
Peter’s in a very stable condition and he’s been doing really well.”
The elder Mr Davidusons wife, Laura, and their son Peter, 16, have also been visiting him in hospital.
He is recovering and is expected to make a full recovery.
The ABC’s Ben Jacobs said Mr Davidsen’s brother and the younger Davidson were at the cafe and Mr David’s mother had come with a group of friends.
“This is not a nice thing,” Ms Davidson said.
“It’s very distressing and we need to speak to the people responsible for it.”
Police are also investigating whether the fox that attacked Mr Davidsons son, which he said had a “very aggressive” nature, may have been an escaped dog.
Mr Jackson told the Nine Network the fox “just wanted to get away” and it may have tried to bite Mr Davidsgons leg.
Police said a female fox was believed to have been responsible for the attack, and the investigation was ongoing.
“We’re investigating this and we don’t want to speculate at this stage,” Mr Jackson said.
