PETER DAVIDSON’S DOG PETER GROMPS ON HIS DOG’S DEATH.
The veteran broadcaster’s dog Pete died on Thursday after a battle with cancer.
The broadcaster’s wife told the Herald Sun newspaper that the dog, named Pete, passed away at her home in Brisbane.
Mr Davidson said Pete was a loveable, sweet, affectionate, gentle, intelligent, loving, loving companion.
“My dog Pete was the epitome of a dog, he had a big heart, he loved to be the centre of attention, he was a loving, caring, loving dog,” Mr Davidson said.
“Pete was a very loving, gentle dog, the last time I saw him was last night he passed away, I just don’t understand how.”
I would never want to see that dog like that, I would never wish that on anyone, he would never be there for anybody, I think that’s the best thing about him, that’s how good a man he was.
“Mr Davidson, 75, said he was proud to have been able to work with the dogs.”
The dogs are the best part of my job, and they’re my most important people,” he said.
Mr Davidson worked for the ABC from 1984 to 1989, when he left to work for Radio New Zealand.
